Fen is co-owned with and bred by Anne and Brian Palmer of Highlander Siberians. From the moment she could walk, Fen was a spitfire rearing to take on the world. When she was 7 weeks old, her breeders sent me a video saying, "This is your puppy, Demi! We cannot get her to gait," as she ran with zoomies between the two of them over and over again. I knew I was in trouble in the best way possible!
She has a wonderfully friendly, outgoing personality and is extraordinarily confident. She loves everyone she meets and is very playful with other dogs. She takes her job in the show ring very seriously and loves to run in harness in the winter. Her first full season in harness, she impressed me with how quickly she caught on to the commands and with her drive to keep the team moving forward. Fen is very handler motivated and loves to work her body and her brain! Currently, her favorite trick is to leap into my arms from the ground. She is a higher energy dog, even for a Siberian. However, she easily learned to settle down on our lazy days.
Fen has earned her Champion title in conformation, two Award of Merits at a large regional specialty, her BCAT title (fast coursing ability test) running averages from 24-25MPH, her Canine Good Citizen and Canine Good Citizen Advanced titles, Trick Dog Intermediate title, and her Puppy of Achievement award. Fen and I are currently working towards titles in Agility, Barn Hunt, Rally, and others.
Fen is twenty-one inches at the withers and weighs around forty-two pounds.
